Blue Marlin Fishing

Woody’s personal favorite, these showstoppers can be found year round out of Venice. They do move around a bit depending on the season, but are always hungry and readily annihilate any small tuna bridled up. The big fish (over 500 pounds) are always around, but historically the best months are April through October. Blue marlin are one of the only fish that don’t feed at night, so we like to be on location when the sun
comes up when targeting these beautiful fish. All marlin are released aboard the ClairaBelle. We enjoy a spectacular marlin fishery here in the northern Gulf of Mexico, but it often takes a backseat to the tuna fishery. Best to devote an entire day to targeting these fantastic gamefish, sure to humble even the strongest angler.
